A Co-op Survival Horror Experience
Survive the endless aisles. Craft. Build. Escape... if you can.
About the Game
You were just looking for a new shelf. Now the doors won't open, the lights are flickering, and something happened to the staff.
The Store Is Closed is a co-op survival horror game for up to 4 players, set inside a furniture megastore that stretches on forever. Scavenge food, break down furniture for parts, and build fortified bases to hold out against what the staff have become: Managers, Biters, TV Golems, and worse.
Underneath the store, SCP Foundation labs hold advanced weapons, keycards, and answers about how this all started. There are pocket dimensions down there, and floating departments above. The deeper you go, the stranger it gets.
Key Features
Go it alone or bring up to 3 friends online. Share resources, call out threats, and try not to get separated when the lights cut out.
Smash any piece of furniture for materials, or drag it somewhere useful. Need a barricade? That shelving unit will do.
During store hours, the staff shamble around and mostly leave you alone. When the lights go out, they come looking for you.
Build towers, barricades, and safe rooms out of whatever you can find. Craft weapons: sledgehammers, spears, even flamethrowers.
Hidden labs sit beneath the store floor. Swipe keycards to access better weapons and piece together what the SCP Foundation was doing down here.
Managers, Biters, TV Golems, reanimated mannequins. They all hunt differently, and what works on one won't work on another.
Development Roadmap
The core loop: scavenge, build, survive. Base building, the first enemy types, online co-op for up to 4 players, and several store departments to explore.
SCP labs open up below the store. Keycard-gated progression, a new tier of weapons, pocket dimensions, and more story to dig into.
Build upward. Floating store departments add vertical exploration, along with aerial enemies and new crafting recipes.
Steam Workshop support and a custom department editor so players can build and share their own store layouts. Plus community challenges, leaderboards, and fixes based on what players are asking for.
The full story campaign, every enemy type, final boss fights, and a finished progression system.
